Hey Bay Bae

Hello from the City By the Bay! You may have wondered what I have been doing for the last couple months since there have been no blog updates.

Well, I turned 30, went on a two-week vacation with my family, and took a new position with a brand new app called Firework, a short talent video app! My training has been at our headquarter office in Mountain View, right next to Google headquarters (we actually just relocated to Redwood City this week!)  I’m assuming your faces are stunned and amazed to think of a free spirit like myself in a corporate job, yet here I’ve been right in the center of Silicon Valley!

My new position as the Talent Success Partner for the company and being a part of something that is just starting and growing leaps and bounds is so exciting! It  allows for me to utilize my entertainment background along with my social media skills creatively, so it is a win-win! Check out the app and download it. Spend ten minutes or two hours watching our amazingly creative talent. Maybe join the group and make your own videos. There are multiple cash prize challenges each week too 🙂

In between all this learning and working, I had to head out to see some of this wonderful city. From the Golden Gate Bridge, to the Fisherman’s Wharf, to Union Square, and to the Painted Ladies (it’s not what you think), this is a beautiful city with a LOT of hills! I would say that my lack of going to the gym has affected me, but honestly you can get your heart rate up just with a walk to the grocery!

So…here are a few pictures of some of my favorite places you should see when you come to San Francisco, and you absolutely should put this great city on your travel list.

Want to keep up with my next trip? I’ll be driving the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Los Angeles on a girls weekend with my mom, and there will be LOTS of stops along the way. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, leave me a comment below!

Until next time…stay golden!

Goldielegs in Wonderland

“I knew who I was this morning, but I’ve changed a few times since then.” – Alice in Wonderland

Today I need to give a shoutout and thank you to Walter Baker! Without him and without this ensemble, I’m not sure I’d ever feel like a modernized blend of Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. This baby blue co-ord outfit is absolutely perfect for a hot day, and is also something I can wear anywhere. It’s a silk blend with crocheted sleeves and back, allowing that nice breeze in to cool you off. And we all know how much I love outfits that are great for twirling!

For this particular look, I wanted to dress it up a bit, as I was heading out to meet up with some girlfriends for a rooftop Sunday funday. So I tucked the top in and bloused it a bit, slipped into my favorite Nine West ‘Baebee’ sandals, and added a dainty pair of earrings and bracelet. My earrings are from Charming Charlie (and they were such a steal!), while my bracelet is from White House Black Market (not a steal, but I’m obsessed with it). Another way I like to wear this if I’m not wanting to get as dolled up is simply by untucking the shirt and pairing it with a low-top sneaker. It’s comfortable, but still keeps me looking put together!

This set is no longer available, but I’ve linked Walter Baker HERE and also added in some of my other favorite two piece sets below. Be sure to check them all out because they will be your summer go-to!

Until next time…stay golden!

Velvet Cowgirl

Velvet has been all the rage as of late, and it doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. I’m totally okay with it though because it’s a great material for the colder seasons. It also makes any casual outfit way more glamorous! I knew I should have saved my old velvet leotards from my competitive dance days…oh well, it gave me a reason to buy this super cute flared Free People jacket.

What I love most about this jacket is the detailing. From the bronze buttons to the asymmetrical zipper to the flared bottom, this jacket has it all and can be worn with so many different pieces. I decided to keep it simple though because with a statement jacket, all you REALLY need are a good pair of jeans, a nice white tee, and – cute pair of heeled booties to tie it all together!

Until next time…stay golden!

To shop my look, I’ve attached some similar items below!

White Out

Sunglasses – Wonderland Sun; Earrings – Charming Charlie

Everyone says you can’t wear white pants year round, but I say forget those old rules…they’re ancient and we are living in modern times people!

Some days I want to be sexy and casual, but still stand out. In the Midwest, it’s rare to see anyone wearing all white, let alone anything out of the ‘norm’. This ensemble is so basic and so effortless that it will do the standing out for you! I did think about adding a really cool bomber jacket, but the weather swapped days and turned this one into a boiler. I still really dig the outfit though and hope you do too!

What I really want to know is this…if you were/are brave enough to go for the whiteout look, how do you style it?

Until next time…stay golden!

P.S. This outfit is so beyond red wine friendly!!!

Shades of Green

Bag – Onna Ehrlich; Sunnies – Wonderland Sun

Military green and camouflage have been a big color for Spring/Summer 2016. That’s not to say it can’t be worn into the Fall though! This H&M jumpsuit is probably my favorite piece that I own in that category. It’s lightweight material is great for those hot days when you want to look stylish while running errands. For the cooler days, it can easily be worn with a leather jacket and flats for a casual day or heeled ankle boots for a night on the town.

Here are some of my other favorite military inspired pieces:
