Statement LBD

Dress: WhatsMode – Earrings: WhatsMode – Boots: Zara (similar)

Hello, world and happy almost weekend!!!

This work week has been beyond long, and the night can’t come soon enough. I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling ultra sassy already, which means one thing for the weekend…time to throw on an LBD and head out with the gang!

Before I can fully go into playtime mode, I’ve got a shoot set up tomorrow with my favorite photographer. I’m going to be stocking up on the fashion side of things, so stay tuned for all of that! It’s still been cold even on the west coast, so I’m working on showing off how pieces can be worn during each season and taking some from day to night. Sort of like how I’ll be going from my shoot to a night out! It’s all about that transition life, ya’ll!

For the rest of the weekend, I’ll probably chill at home and do a little more work on my blog! I really want to start integrating more beauty and lifestyle, whether it be makeup routines, skincare regime, workouts, vegetarian life, etc. I also want to start doing more videos, so I’m looking at investing in some equipment and/or reaching out for collabs in that area.  While it may be work, I truly love doing all of this! It’s stressful at times, especially when you are doing most of it on your own, but the freedom in being able to create something that is completely your own is incredible. The best part? When your content reaches and inspires others! Gives you those warm fuzzies 🙂

Last but not least for Sunday, I’m attending an event for LAFW to support my friend, designer Pia Gladys Perey! Can’t wait to see the rest of her new arrivals. I say rest because I’m wearing one and it is SO good!!! I’ll give you a hint, it could definitely be included in this post!

That’s all that I’ve got for now though. In terms of blogging, let me know if there is anything, in particular, you want to see more of! I’d love your feedback!

Until next time, check out some of my other favorite statement LBD’s! And as always…stay golden!

Three Tiers for Bardot

Dress: Bardot – Shoes: Steve Madden – Bag: Cult Gaia – Sunnies: DIFF Eyewear

You know how you go shopping for one thing, then end up coming home with everything or the exact opposite of what you actually needed? That was me with this Bardot dress…but it was just too good not to. Am I right?!

If you paid attention to any of the fashion week trends, both on the runway and street style, tiered styles are seriously in!  You can tell I love them because I feel like half of what I’ve been wearing is tiered and/or ruffled! It automatically gives you that flirty, feminine look, but I’m obsessed because it’s also easy to edge up.  For today’s look, I kept it pretty classic and simple, adding a bit of a boho-chic vibe to it.

If you’re on the prowl for some new springs dresses, I’ve linked some below. Definitely take advantage because these are ALL under $200 (some of them in the $30 range!) Check them out 🙂

Until next time…stay golden!

Self-entine’s Day!

Self-entine’s Day…yep, you heard me right. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples or gal pals, but it can also be a day to show yourself a little love!

A few years ago, I promised myself I wouldn’t be one of those people that calls today ‘single’s awareness day’. It makes it sound so sad!!! And to be honest, I actually love Valentine’s Day regardless of my relationship status! I can be on a date with my man, out on the town with the ladies, or home doing something for myself…and regardless of which, I’m going to show my love to whomever!

This year will be a bit of a mashup of Galentine’s and Self-entine’s for me, as I’ll be hanging with a friend for a bit, but I fully intend to indulge in treating myself. If you don’t have any plans, and aren’t sure of what to do for/with yourself, here are a few ideas!

  1. Hit the Spa – I love this one, because, honestly, who doesn’t like to be pampered? Several hotels and spas have deals going on, so you can book a full day spa to enjoy a massage, facial, hot tub, etc. It really is incredible!
  2. Bring the Spa to You – If you’re strapped for cash, or simply want some quiet time at home, do as I do! Run a nice hot bath with some bubbles or a bath fizzie, line it with candles, turn on some music, and enjoy! Highly recommend throwing in a face mask and wine too!
  3. Shopping Spree – That’s right, take yourself to a store (or do it online if you desire) and buy that one thing you’ve been saving up for! It doesn’t have to be a ‘need’ either…if you see something you ‘want’ and can no longer live with out it, purchase that baby!
  4. Dinner for 1 – Take yourself to dinner! You don’t HAVE to have a date to go to a restaurant, you know. Despite the stigma about it, there’s much less pressure to entertain and everything, so you can truly pay attention and savor every bite from your meal.
  5. Discount Deals – I highly recommend checking out Groupon and any other site with discounted rates on events. They often discount it even more on holidays too! So pick out a show you’ve been wanting to see, take a pottery class, start a foreign language, etc. Find something that interests you and go for it! Best case scenario, you may meet someone with similar interests there too! TWO BIRDS, people!!!
  6. Volunteer – I would totally be doing this is it wasn’t for work going so late! There are plenty of animal shelters or homeless people who could really use a little special attention today. One animal shelter I love to go to is Animal Hope & Wellness in Sherman Oaks. All of the rescues there have been saved from the dog meat trade in Asia. They, especially, need all the love they can get! If you want to take meals or clothes or anything to the homeless, Skid Row is a great place to go too.
  7. Work It Out – Another thing…holiday’s are NOT always about the food! Sure, delicious treats are made, but so many people forget the importance of exercising. Tons of classes host Valentine’s Day special and/or fun, themed classes!
  8. Write a Letter – Write or type something nice to yourself. Go from the heart! Talk about things you love about yourself, the things you do well, goals/dreams/accomplishments. Stash it away and take it out when you most need it.
  9. See a Show – Go to a movie, comedy show, musical/play, etc. If you’re not the type that often goes out solo, this is the perfect option because theatre’s are dark, but it’s still a way to liven up your night!
  10. Photoshoot – This one may be a bit tougher, as I know not everyone has access to cameras and all. But lingerie is NOT only for men, ladies. In fact, I think it’s more for us than them because when we feel good, we look good. And lets be real, the right lingerie makes us feel reeeeaaaaally good, ha! Seeing how amazing you look and feel is an automatic confidence booster 🙂

No matter how you are spending this Valentine’s Day, do a little something for yourself! If you have any other suggestions too, I’d love to hear them!

Until next time…stay golden!

MPG

You know those sayings “dress for success” and “dress for the job you want”? I couldn’t agree more with anything! But I also like when my ‘dress’ is comfortable and versatile.

Jacket: MPG Sport, Pant: MPG Sport, Top: MPG Sport,

Working in an office, not seeing many people throughout the day can make putting effort into getting ready quite challenging. I’m not going to lie…it happens often for me. However, every time I do, I always feel like a badass boss that’s ready to take on the day.  Whether I’m at the office, creating new content, or out networking at events, looking and feeling good is key for success!

The outfit featured above is the perfect example for this post. Not only is it great for work, but it can also be worn to workout in! MPG Sport is all about the athleisure aesthetic….and I’m obsessed! Honestly, what’s better than going from a corporate business to the gym and NOT having to change your clothes?! And if you even attempt to say ew, I’ll be over here covering my ears like a little kid saying “la la la la la!” Kidding…sort of 🙂 But really, this outfit is so on point for both that I had to share! Each piece is tagged above, so definitely check them out!

That’s all for today all! Until next time…stay golden!

Indiana

TGIF everyone!! I don’t know about you, but even with this shortened week, it still felt longer than ever. I am so ready for the breather.

I am thoroughly enjoying myself back in LA, because who doesn’t love living in the sunshine and being able to hit the beach virtually any day of the year?! However, to say I’m not missing my hometown and family would be a complete lie. And surprisingly enough, I actually miss the cold weather too! There’s something about the cold that makes staying at home all cozied up with a hot tottie way better. Also, being able to wear winter attire/bundling up in puffer jackets without overheating even a little is nice. So, since I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, today I’m doing a mini flashback from when I was home in Indiana and finally ENJOYED the cold! I’ve also linked what I’m wearing below the images, should you decide to do a little shopping 🙂

That’s all for today – short and sweet!

Until next time…stay golden!
