Flouncy in Floral

Who’s ready for the weekend, raise your hand?! I’m raising mine in case you thought otherwise ūüôā

This week, I sat down and looked at some old photos from my modeling days and in the past in general. It’s amazing to see how my style has changed and grown with me! No joke, I refused to wear pants until I was in the first grade. And even then, they were those silly colorful, patterned leggings with a quirky top. In high school and college, I was totally that girl wearing the Hollister skirts that were basically the length of a belt (thanks for the phrase, dad!). My hair was bleached like crazy and I often wore extensions. If I didn’t have a full face of makeup on, I wasn’t leaving the house. I was so extra, yet so basic. Then a few years ago, it was all about black jeans, black tank, black combat boots, and a leather jacket…shave my head and I legit could’ve been confused for a teenage boy! Granted I was living in New York and that was pretty much the “it” outfit for models, it was just so, blah. Now, I’ve finally realized that less is more, and your style truly does reflect you and how people perceive you. That’s where this dress comes in…

Honestly, how good is this?! I’m seriously obsessed! I’m literally showing zero skin and I still feel beyond sexy and confident. It’s perfect for work, happy hour, date night, a wedding, etc. If you love this dress as much as I do, you can find it here at ANOUVO. They have tons of other cute pieces as well! Ruffles and floral print has been the main trend this summer too, so it just gets better and better. I’ll link some of my other favorite under $150 flouncy dresses below to check out too!

As for now, it’s time toss on a pair of heels and hit the town! What’s everyone else doing this weekend?!

Until next time…stay golden!

Color Me Pretty

Festival season is so close…it’s time to start planning your beauty looks!

In no way, shape, or form am I a beauty expert, but I do love to play sometimes! While I’m not attending Coachella, I still wanted to show off some simple makeup that would still let you stand out. Today, I went bold and bright!

Knowing I would have such a bright eye and lip color, I didn’t need much for my face. I simply used my Bioxidea BB+Balm cream, Sephora brightening powder, and added a few strokes of my Elf Cosmetics blush. For the eyes, all three eye shadow colors I used are by Urban Decay. From inner corner to outer, I blended Heartless, Asphyxia, and Fishnet. I then drew a very thin line with my black Stila waterproof eyeliner marker on my upper lid. Underneath, I grabbed Asphyxia again to draw a reverse cat eye underneath my bottom lashes and added just a touch of iridescent. To top things off, I used NYX Full Throttle Lipstick in Lethal Kiss and added a dab of my favorite NYX Liquid Suede Cream in Sway – Lavender for an extra pop of color!

This makeup may seem simple and basic, but all you need to do to really glam it up is by adding lots of glitter dust or some rhinestones! My favorites are by Body Bauble….they’re so beautiful!

I’d love to see some of your favorite festival makeup looks! Or if there’s one you’d like me to try out and do a tutorial, I would love to! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled and check back for more festival-inspired beauty and fashion looks!

Until next time…stay golden!

White Out

Everyone says you can’t wear white pants year round, but I say forget those old rules…they’re ancient and we are living in modern times people!

Some days I want to be sexy and casual, but still stand out. In the Midwest, it’s rare to see anyone wearing all white, let alone anything out of the ‘norm’. This ensemble is so basic and so effortless that it¬†will do the standing out for you! I did think about adding a really cool bomber jacket, but the weather swapped days and turned this one into a boiler. I still really dig the outfit though and hope you do too!

What I really want to know is this…if you were/are brave enough to go for the whiteout look, how do you style it?

Until next time…stay golden!

P.S. This outfit is so beyond red wine friendly!!!

Military green and camouflage have been a big color for¬†Spring/Summer 2016. That’s not to say it can’t be worn into the Fall though! This H&M jumpsuit is probably my favorite piece that I own in that category. It’s lightweight material is great for those hot days when you want to look stylish while running errands. For the cooler days, it can easily be worn with a leather jacket and flats for a casual day or heeled ankle boots for a night on the town.

Here are some of my other favorite military inspired pieces:

I know I’m not the only woman that gets uber excited and squeals with joy when she finds a pair of shoes for such a great deal! When I came across these Tommy Hilfiger oxfords, butterflies literally began to flutter in my stomach. Then when I realized these shoes were on sale for $30 AND were the only pair which happened to be my size, I knew it was meant to be. Such a glorious feeling!

Mr. Hilfiger, thank you for continuing to keep the classics…well, classic!

Until next time…stay golden!
