Friday Favorites!!!

I’ve come to the conclusion that I shop online far too much. The majority of my pins on my Pinterest boards are under ‘My Styles’ and they do nothing but sit in a folder. So I figured, instead of just pinning them and never doing anything with it, why not share some of my favorites with you each week?! If you fall in love with one of the items, just click on the photo and it will take you straight over to where you can buy it! Let’s get started!

  1. Jumpsuits – This is the lazy girl outfit…they’re comfortable and super easy to throw on and head out in. Why do I love them so much? A well made jumpsuit, whether casual or occasion, can be dressed up or down, meaning they can be worn anywhere!

2. Lace – Chantilly, schiffli, Venetian, embroidered….it doesn’t matter which type, just get some lace! Experiment with bright colors, mix it with a completely different material or pattern, or edge it up. Lace is romantic and feminine and delicate, but with the right accessories and/or pieces, you can funk it up as much as you want!

3. Nail Polish – I am not one to get my nails done too often yet even the chipped purple color I slabbed on my toes an hour before a yacht party threw my mom off. So I have recently set a new goal to make sure my fingers and toes LOOK polished…pun intended! These are some of my favorite colors!

4. Cell Phone Cases – Since I am prone to dropping and/or breaking my phone, I have to use to heavy duty cases that aren’t quite as expressive. I so wish any of these came in OtterBox version!

5. Music – I have an entire list, but here a few songs I have on repeat.

LA, I love you

You would think that after living in Los Angeles for 4.5 years, I would have played the tourist card a long time ago….nope! While I was there last week, I decided to do just that! First stop was window shopping (and maybe some actual shopping) on Melrose Avenue, while stopping to take in the wall art. I love the Paul Smith pink wall!

Next stop was the Made in LA wall! Despite being made in the Midwest, I can’t help but feel I belong in this place…California has been the only other place that makes me feel at home!

As I wandered up and down Melrose Avenue, just trying to kill some time, I came across this spot. Never in my life have I seen such a beautiful alley way…I had found my own secret garden! All it needed was a table and chair and I totally would have plopped myself down with my juice and book.

Last but not least, I had been wanting to hit Magnolia Bakery for their infamous Hummingbird cake forever! Knowing I was going to dinner soon after, I figured I would just eat half of it and save the other. Guess what happened? That plate may as well have been licked clean! I’m glad that I did sit down to enjoy it though because I wouldn’t have noticed the angel wings wall outside!

Overall, my solo day trip to Los Angeles was a success! I wish I had been able to see and do so much more, but that just means I have to head back out there sooner…or move?! Who knows what the future has in store!

Until next time….stay golden!

It’s my birthday; I’ll eat cake and drink champagne if I want to!

Last Wednesday I took the day off to do all things I love…sleep in, work out, do a photoshoot, and enjoy a delicious dinner with my family. I had such a fun shoot with photographer Kameron Casey, and the best part…I didn’t have to leave my bedroom! Wearing my favorite LBD from Zara, paired with Steven Madden pumps, and a tiara I won years ago, I felt like a true birthday princess!

What are some of your fondest birthday memories? Comment below, and until next time…everyone eat cake!

Until next time…stay golden!

It’s been quite a while since I’d been anywhere tropical, and after living in New York for 3.5 years, I finally realized almost all of my clothes were basics in black, white, and grey. When I found out I would be traveling to Maui with my best friend, I knew I needed new threads….Black Thread Apparel to be exact! Sounds contradicting, right? Nope!

Black Thread Apparel, despite it’s name, has several adorable beach-worthy pieces! Featured above are a few! Tribal print and coral has been extremely popular for a while now. I started my trip in the Ibiza Open Back Maxi Dress because, well, I’m sort of obsessed with it! I may or may not have worn it to the welcome reception dinner as well 🙂 What’s dest about this maxi dress? It’s long even for me…and I’m 5’11!! To all my fellow jolly green’s out there, there is hope and it’s at Black Thread Apparel! The other two dresses I took along were the Good Karma Tribal Shift Dress and Boho Dream Crochet Detail Dress. These two are super adorable as cover-ups, but also to run around town, shop, and go to lunch in.

Thank you so much Black Thread Apparel! Once again, you did not disappoint, but now it’s time for me to go work on my tan!

Until next time…stay golden!
